The design of PowerTherm^® is the result of the core competence of the energy plant engineering company Spilling, with its many years of experience in the CHP sector.

PowerTherm^® is equipped with a permanent magnet generator rotor mounted on a crankshaft - without bearing, sliding contacts or exciter coil. The synchronous generator works wear-free with an efficiency of more than 96%. The output is fed into the low voltage network via a recovery unit with cos φ = 1. This facilitates the compliance with the regulations of the VDEW (German Association of the Electricity business). Alternatively, synchronised to mains and island operating modes are possible.
